PT. Enerco RPO International was established to implement the development of the most advanced TDAE Plant in Indonesia. Enerco will utilize the Patent Rights jointly owned by PT. Pura Barutama and PT. Pertamina (Persero).

In 2011, a Cooperative Agreement for the Commercialization of the TDAE Patent between PT. Pura Barutama and PT. Pertamina (Persero) was signed and Enerco was appointed by PT Pura Barutama to build the first TDAE plant.

The Patent has been recognized as a new innovative TDAE process that meets the stringent EU Directive 2005/69/EC (subsequently amended by the REACH Regulation EC No 1907/2006) on the restriction of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon (PAHs) in RPO. This new invention significantly contributes to the improved safety aspects of tires by providing better Wet Grip capabilities, whilst maintaining the best value of Rolling Resistance to improve fuel savings. Patents have been granted in Indonesia, Singapore, Japan, Korea, China and the US and other countries to follow.

In cooperation with leading global engineering companies, a series of pilot trials were successfully implemented to perform the process engineering of scaling up to become an industrial plant. This resulted in the issuance of process and performance guarantees by the engineering companies.

In 2015, Enerco secured a long-term supply agreement from ExxonMobil in Singapore for its feedstock and Sumitomo Corporation Asia and Oceania was given the responsibility for global marketing, sales and distribution of our TDAE product (ARMAX).

The TDAE plant is strategically located in a special economic free trade zone of Batam Island, Indonesia.

In 2017, Enerco completed its final Engineering Design and Planning to build an integrated TDAE plant using its advanced and proven technology.
